Cooper McRae is a Financial Planner with more than six years of experience in the industry.
In 2024, he joined the Hood Sweeney team, bringing his passion for helping people understand the value of personal risk insurance.
Cooper is a strong believer that building financial literacy is the key to supporting people to make informed decisions about their finances. Having gained experience across the full breadth of financial planning, Cooper was drawn to personal risk insurance as his area of expertise and was keen to join the specialist personal insurance team within Hood Sweeney Securities. “Ensuring everyday Australians, across all walks of life are adequately protected from the financial ramifications of illness or injury, means people can focus on their families and health in times of grief and illness, instead of worrying about their finances.”
Cooper enjoys the process of relationship building with clients and appreciates that the milestones in people’s lives, like welcoming a new child or kicking off a professional career, are when insurance is an important consideration. “I am fortunate to share the milestones with my clients and work with them to enjoy the experience knowing appropriate structures are in place to keep them looking forward.”
Outside of work, Cooper stays fit playing Aussie Rules, Gaelic & going for runs. Friends and family are very important to him, and he is excited to soon be starting his own with his partner Jess.
