Two New Director Appointments at Hood Sweeney

Professional services firm Hood Sweeney has elevated two accounting advisers to Director roles. Dion Carbone and Matthew Bartemucci were promoted from Associates effective this month reflecting their contribution to the overall growth of the business and to the clients they serve.

Dion Carbone joined Hood Sweeney in 2013 as part of the merger with boutique accounting firm Shearer + Elliss. A high-level soccer player, the chartered accountant quickly began kicking goals in the Accounting & Business Advisory team, working with growing businesses and high-profile professionals.

Matthew Bartemucci is also a chartered accountant and an Accredited Family Business Adviser with Family Business Australia. He has more than 18 years of experience advising clients across an array of industries including Agribusiness and Food & Hospitality. A high-level sportsman, Matthew had a long career playing SANFL football for Norwood. The appointments take to 16 the number of directors at the South Terrace-based firm.

“Our director promotions are geared to prepare the business for the future. With our new growth advisory, it’s imperative that we have leadership focussed on client relationships and adept at working with businesses that are ready to grow,” said Head of Accounting, Director Edward Taylor.
