History
Hood Sweeney began in 1976 as PJ Hood & Co, an accounting firm with a single client. It expanded over the next decade with the addition of a new partner, Graham Sweeney, a change of name and many more clients.
The firm has continued to grow and evolve with the appointment of new partners and new services, such as Financial Planning (2001), Technology Services (2004), and Finance (2005). More recently, offerings in Growth Consulting, People & Culture, and Marketing were added to cater for clients’ growing advisory needs.
In 2012, ASX-listed Count (CUP) acquired a shareholding in our firm; and in 2013, Hood Sweeney merged with accounting firm, Shearer + Elliss, which shared a similar culture and ‘client-first’ focus.
Today, Hood Sweeney is more than 140-people strong. We have a board of six, an Adelaide head office and regional offices in the Mid North.
