Double Act for Hood Sweeney Accounting
Hood Sweeney has appointed joint heads of accounting Louisa Andreucci and Dion Carbone to share the lead role overseeing the professional services firm’s 80 accountants.
The changing of guard follows the departure of Eddie Taylor, who stepped aside from Hood Sweeney in October to take a role in a private business.
Both Dion and Louisa have been with Hood Sweeney for more than a decade, joining as graduates and working their way up to managing relationships with South Australian business and professional clients. Both Accounting Directors also work with the growth consultancy, Blue Jam.
The appointment of joint leads comes as the professional services firm prepares its strategy for the next five years to 2030, which will include a focus on technologies such as AI to enhance the client experience and drive transformation across the business.
Said Louisa and Dion: “We believe together we have the energy, drive, empathy, vision and commerciality to inspire and empower the accounting team to reach its potential.”
The duo plans to cultivate “a high-performance, innovative culture with deeply engaged advisors, driving a leveraged, non-production reliant business around our clients, people and systems”.
They said they are confident to take on higher risk profile engagements and opportunities, and structured M&A activity is part of the future thinking, both through smaller fee-based acquisitions and larger acquisitions that add new expertise to the accounting business.
