Can I fax my application to you? No. To assure confidentiality, all applications must be sent electronically in response to a specific advertisement or as an expression of interest. Will I receive a response after submitting my application? Yes. You will receive an automated email from the People and Culture team confirming that we have received your application. If you are deemed suitable for the position, we will then contact you to arrange an interview. The timeline for the recruitment process can vary according to the role and the specific situation.
If I am deemed to be a potential candidate and progress to interview stage, what can I expect? Firstly, we encourage you to research Hood Sweeney and familiarise yourself with the job description, which will be available on this web site. We believe the interview process is just as much about you as it is about us, so come prepared to ask lots of questions. The interview will be conducted by a member of our People and Culture team along with the immediate manager of the available role. During the interview, they will let you know when they will make their decision and whether they would like to proceed with your application. Depending on the outcome of your initial interview, you may need to attend a second.
What happens after my interview? If unsuccessful, you will be notified as soon as possible and provided with feedback from the People and Culture team. It is a requirement that suitable candidates undergo psychological testing and we will conduct reference checks. If you are then deemed a successful candidate, you will receive a verbal employment offer together with information about the next step.
